The belt filter press has 3 dewatering zones. The material evenly distributed on the conveyor belt of the belt filter press first enters the first dewatering area - the self-weight area, relying on the action of the flocculant, more than 50% of the surface water is leached out between the floc of its own weight and is taken off; The coal slurry dewatered in the deadweight zone is carried by the conveyor belt to the nose and discharged into the second dehydration zone, the wedge zone. In this area, the distance between the upper and lower conveyor belts gradually decreases, and the coal sludge is dewatered by the upper and lower conveyor belts; then the coal slurry enters the third dewatering area-the compression and shear area. In this area, as the diameter of the idler roller reduces the pressure on the coal slurry, the shear force is generated in the bypass operation of the upper and lower conveyor belts, and the dewatering of the coal slurry is strengthened. After being compressed and shear dewatered, the filter cake is brought to the head of the lower conveyor belt, discharged by the scraper into the discharge chute, and the entire coal slime is filtered and the recovery process ends.
In addition to the adjustable speed drive system, the belt filter press drives the entire conveyor belt operation, as well as the belt tension device, guide device and cleaning device.
(1) Cleaning device. The cleaning device for the conveyor belt is installed on the upper and lower conveyor belts, and its function is to clean the slime remaining on the conveyor belt (filter cloth) after the cake is unloaded, and maintain the water permeability of the conveyor belt. All conveyor belt spraying devices are equipped with their own "self-cleaning" nozzles. If a nozzle is found to be blocked, the nozzle can be kept clear by rotating a row of brushes through the hand wheel to clean the nozzles. The water inlet pressure of the water spray pipe requires 690 kPa.
The above device maintains continuous and stable operation of the belt filter press. The dewatered filter cake is continuously scraped into the discharge chute by the scraper at the head, and the filter cake is in a small, lumpy shape. Filtrate from different dewatering areas is returned to the concentration tank along with the washing water. The filtrate contains a small amount of slime, under normal circumstances this part of the slime ratio is very small, will not affect the sedimentation of the slime water pool.

(2) Feed amount. During the design hours, 500 tons of raw coal was selected, and the filtration sludge volume was 716%, accounting for 38 tons. Two band filter presses with a bandwidth of 3m are used, and the amount of coal slurry handled by a single unit is 19tΠh. After the system is properly commissioned, the two belt filter presses can fully meet the requirements for coal slurry recovery and coal preparation operations, and the belt filter press is not fully loaded.
(3) Power consumption. The belt filter press itself has no hydraulic system and the structure is simple. It does not need a mixing drum or a pressure pump. The power of a single WX-310G6 belt filter press motor is 715kW, plus the common washing pump motor 37kW. The total capacity of a single belt filter press is only 26kW. In the normal operation, the consumption of compressed air is not large, and it is possible to use the main plant air compressor to supply air, and it is not necessary to separately configure the air compressor.
(4) Product moisture. The raw coal of the coal preparation plant is low in metamorphic degree and dehydration is difficult. Therefore, the average water content of the filter cake is 38% to 39%. The Datong Bureau Majiliang Coal Preparation Plant selected for the same coal type used imported Spanish box filter presses with a moisture content of 32% to 35%, which is 4 to 6 percentage points higher than the benchmark.
(5) Operating conditions. The belt filter press will not be sprayed, the working environment is good, and the operation is simple. The two belt filter presses need only one person to operate.
