SELECTION METHOD
The mixer is mostly used for chemical feeding and reaction devices. As for the method for model selection, we can refer to that of the paddle mixer. In practical application, usually, a rack with a vessel less than 3 tons can be selected.
The propeller mixer is casted and welded as a whole and is easy to process. Its structure is similar to the propeller of a ship. It usually consists of three blades. The national standard for three-blade propeller mixers which are commonly known as propeller mixers is HG5-222-65 in China.
As for model selection of propeller mixers, usually their diameters are 1/4 to 1/3 of the inner diameters of containers, their tangential linear velocity can reach 5-15m/s, usually the rotation velocity is 80-600r/min, the highest velocity can reach 1750r/min, usually the minor diameter uses the high rotation velocity and the major diameter uses the low velocity.
The propeller mix can make all materials realize circular movements in the container. Its main function is volume circulation. The shearing action is small. The effect of up and down movements is good. If a baffle plate or guide cylinder is used, the axial circulation is better.
