Development of the wastewater treatment process of SBR is very rapid due to advantages
such as simple technology and lower investment.As shown in the following figure, the process
is comprised of four stages, or feeding water/aeration, settling, discharging water, and setting
aside. The decanter is mainly used to discharge water, or discharge the clarified liquid within the
reaction tank. The operation can be controlled automatically and recycled.
Usually water discharging is controlled by rotating decanter, and also can be controlled
by decanter with weir, siphon decanter, and float pontoon of decanter as well.
