Hydrocylone grit desander/ rotating flow sand settler/ tangential sand trap with screw conveyor

The hydrocyclone grit desanderalso called gantential sand trap or tangential sand settler , is a new type of sand water separator, which uses hydrocyclone to separate silt and organic matter for desanding  It is mainly used in the sewage treatment of urban domestic sewage, building materials, electric power, metallurgy, papermaking, medicine, textile printing and dyeing, electroplating, leather, brewing, slaughtering, food, chemical industry, industrial and mining ,to remove the sand in the water and the organic matters attached to the sand. It can effectively separate the sand with a diameter bigger than 0.2mm.

work principle:

The raw water enters the grit chamber from the water inlet and forms a circulation along the chamber body. Driven by the driving motor, the mixing impeller in the chamber rotates to generate centrifugal force, which makes the sand grains in the water gathering   at the bottom of the chamber along the wall and the slope at the bottom of the chamber, and at the same time separates the organic matters sticking on the sands. In the sand hopper, the sand is gradually accumulated. When a certain amount is reached, open the valve of the sand discharge pipe, and at the same time, open the valve connecting the sand discharge pipe and the air pipe. Part of the air flows out along the sand discharge pipe, bringing the air out of the sand discharge pipe together, causing a negative pressure. At the same time, open the air flushing pipe, and loosen the sand particles deposited at the bottom. At this time, the solid particles in the sand hopper work under the water pressure in the tank Use the bottom to discharge the sand from the outside of the tank into the sand water separator, and close the valve after the discharge. The separation of sand and organic matter particles is completed by cycling in turn.

Structural features and performance:

1. Basic structure

JCS type cyclone grit chamber desander is mainly composed of driving device, mixing mechanism, sand washing system, sand suction system, electric control system, etc.

The driving device drives the blade to rotate, which causes a slight upward flow in the central ring of the grit chamber. The suspended particles are discharged with the water, and the sand particles sink to the bottom of the grit chamber due to the centrifugal force.

The mixing blade is a radial impeller on the rotary table, which is installed on the mixing shaft. The upper end of the mixing shaft is connected with the reducer through a coupling.

There are two intake pipes, one is sand washing pipe and the other is sand suction pipe. In order to ensure sufficient sand suction, sand washing must be stopped during sand suction.

2. Features and performance

65% for equipment of grit chamber system, 85% for equipment with grit rate ≥ 0.1mm, 95% for equipment with grit rate ≥ 0.2mm, and 70% for sand adsorption and organic separation.

Due to the upward inclination of the impeller plate, the sewage in the pool moves in a spiral motion when rotating. In addition, due to the tangential inflow of sewage, a swirl is generated which is consistent with the rotation direction of the impeller, and the sewage in the pool forms a vortex flow state.

All moving parts subject to wear shall be installed above the maximum water level. The head loss through the grit chamber is not less than 15mm

An isolation tank is arranged in the sand lifting pipe above the grit chamber to destroy the siphon, so as to prevent the water in the grit chamber from flowing to the sand water separator when the sand discharge is stopped.

 

Under the condition of proper blade angle and linear velocity, the sand particles in the sewage will be scoured and remain the best sedimentation effect, while the organics and heavy substances that originally attached to the sand particles will flow out of the whirlpool together with the sewage.

In addition, due to the rotation of impeller, the sensitivity of flow regime change caused by the change of water inflow in the whirlpool is reduced, and the characteristics of stable grit chamber and low organic content of sand production are ensured.

The function of air lift pump and air washing device is to lift the sand at the bottom and loosen the sand accumulation at the bottom of bucket.

Connect the solenoid valve and the electric control box on the gas pipeline for time control and PLC control. If there is no need for sand washing, the sand washing pipe can be turned off and only sand lifting can be carried out.

The electric time control is adopted for sand lifting control, which can be divided into manual and automatic control. The user can adjust the sand lifting time flexibly according to the actual sand content, and the maximum stop time in automatic mode is 99 minutes. The air intake sand lifting time and the start-up time of the corresponding sand water separator are also flexibly adjusted by the user according to the actual situation, generally 15-30 minutes for each sand lifting of the fan, and the working time of the sand water separator can be lengthened a little.

Open the separation impeller system, determine the blade depth and rotation speed according to the actual situation, and determine the sand discharge cycle according to the water quality.

When discharging sand, open the valve of sand discharge pipe, that is, open the valve connecting the sand discharge pipe and the air pipe, open the blower, open the flushing pipe at the same time, and close the valve and the valve of sand discharge pipe after discharging sand.
