Principle of Operation for Backwash Filter with Suction Nozzles:
Dirty water enters through the water inlet and flows into the center of the fine filtration screen/net. The water then passes through the fine filtration screen from the inside out, exiting through the outlet.
Unwanted solids accumulate on the inner surface of the fine screen/net, creating a pressure differential. When the pressure drop reaches a preset level, the control system activates a rinse cycle by opening the rinse valve to an atmospheric drain.
As a result, the pressure drop in the motor chamber and the dirt collector assembly creates a backflush stream, which suctions the dirt off the screen/net, similar to a vacuum cleaner. The backwash water is carried through the collector and ejected out of the holes in the motor.
The water ejected out of the motor causes the collector to rotate, similar to a sprinkler. Additionally, the pressure drop in the hydraulic motor chamber causes the collector assembly to move axially. This combination of movements ensures that the entire screen is cleaned in each cycle.
