Chemical structure: Complex of periston and iodine
Properties and application: Brown formless powder with slight odor. Aqueous solution appears acid. Soluble in water, ethanol, insoluble in aether, chloroform, acetone, ethane and carbon tetrachloride, low toxicity.
Application:
Disinfect skin and instrument in hospital; Avoid infection. It is ideal antiseptic and disinfector to developed countries. It is registered into 2000 version CP, USP 28 version and EP 5.0 version.
