    Multi media filter is a process that uses one or several filter media to pass water with high turbidity through granular or non granular materials with a certain thickness under a certain pressure, so as to effectively remove suspended impurities and clarify water. The commonly used filter materials include quartz sand, anthracite, manganese sand, etc., which are mainly used for water treatment and turbidity removal, softening water, pre-treatment of pure water, etc., and the effluent turbidity can reach below 3 degrees.

    Cooling water treatment, raw water treatment, papermaking industry, irrigation industry, industrial circulating water, food processing, papermaking industry, electric sewage, urban tap water, etc.

Product features
    The equipment is mainly composed of tank body, water distribution system, water collecting system, filter material layer, diaphragm (plate) water cap, support layer and internal supporting pipelines. The external connection includes raw water inlet, clean water outlet, backwash drainage and other main pipelines, as well as their matching control valves, pressure gauges, sampling valves, etc.
    Quartz sand and anthracite are used as filter materials for pressure filtration. The features are as follows:
a. Large filtering area, large water treatment capacity, good operation effect and low filler cost
b. Double filter materials are used to reduce the running resistance;  
c. The filter material is corrosion-resistant, with high porosity, large pollutant carrying capacity, moderate density and easy backwashing;  
d. Material of filter body: 1. Stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316, Q235 carbon steel, Q235 carbon steel rubber lining, and the water treatment capacity of a single set is 0.5~200t/h;  
e. Strong sewage interception capacity, small water loss and good filtration effect;
f. The water collector can be made of stainless steel /abs for longer service life.

    The multi-media filter (also known as mechanical filter) is a typical multi-media filter with layered anthracite, sand, fine garnet or other materials as the bed. The top layer of the bed is composed of the lightest and coarsest materials, while the heaviest and finest materials are placed at the bottom of the bed. The principle is to filter by depth - the larger particles in the water are removed at the top layer, and the smaller particles are removed at the deeper depth of the filter medium. So that the water quality can reach the standard after coarse filtration. The equipment is pressure type. Its principle is that when the raw water passes through the filter material from top to bottom, the suspended solids in the water are intercepted by the surface of the filter layer due to adsorption and mechanical flow resistance; When the water flows into the middle of the filter layer, because the sand particles in the filter material layer are arranged more closely, the particles in the water have more opportunities to collide with the sand particles, so the flocs, suspended solids and sand surfaces in the water adhere to each other, and the impurities in the water are trapped in the filter material layer, so as to obtain a clear water quality. The suspended solids in filtered effluent can be less than 5mg / L.
